Aug. 25 – The United States Department of War recently awarded Boeing a massive indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract carrying a ceiling value of one hundred thirty-one point two three billion dollars to support the F-15 program. This critical defense agreement was officially announced to bolster the operational readiness and tactical capability of the entire fighter aircraft fleet over the coming years.
Official contract specifications indicate that the expansive agreement encompasses comprehensive aircraft production, advanced systems integration, modernization, upgrades, retrofits, and extensive sustainment operations. Furthermore, the arrangement establishes dedicated organic depot maintenance capabilities designed to keep the vital F-15 Eagle weapon system mission-ready for the United States Air Force, the Air National Guard, and other authorized defense customers.
Primary execution work for this massive manufacturing and maintenance undertaking will take place at designated facilities located in St. Louis, Missouri. The baseline ordering period runs through August 2031, with an optional extension available through August 2036, while project completion is targeted for August 2037 under the supervision of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
In addition to supporting domestic forces, the agreement incorporates extensive Foreign Military Sales provisions. These provisions extend critical technological and logistical support to key international allies, including Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Poland, ensuring unified defense cooperation and standardized tactical aviation excellence worldwide.
