The large Boeing Globemaster, bearing the U.S. registered tail number 07-7181, completed a direct flight from Riga in Latvia and arrived at approximately 0700 GMT. This rare U.S. military transport plane landing in Moscow has drawn attention amid ongoing international developments involving Russia and the United States.

Reuters could not confirm whether the aircraft transported any cargo or passengers during its journey. The Kremlin stated that it currently holds no information regarding the presence of this U.S. military transport plane in the Russian capital. Prior to its Moscow arrival, the Boeing Globemaster had reached Riga on August 23 after departing from the U.S. Camp Springs airbase located near Washington, D.C.
