Paris, Sept. 8 – Airbus aircraft deliveries rose nine percent through the end of August 2026 after the European planemaker delivered 475 commercial jets from January to August versus 434 last year. August Airbus aircraft deliveries reached 57 jets, leaving Airbus broadly on track for its 870-jet Airbus production target, ten percent above 793 last year. Airbus A320 family deliveries rose eleven percent and lifted commercial aircraft deliveries even as A330 widebody output lagged.
Airbus A330 deliveries resumed with one August handover after June and July suspensions caused by a lost tool found in an A330 tail section. Year-to-date Airbus A330 deliveries total eleven aircraft, down thirty-one percent, and widebody production must accelerate. The Airbus deliveries bulletin shows the European planemaker can still meet the 2026 aircraft deliveries goal if A330 output recovers.
Airbus sold sixty-seven planes in August, including eight A350F freighters to an undisclosed customer. Year-to-date Airbus aircraft orders stand at 1,157 jets, or 1,091 after cancellations, reflecting demand for Airbus commercial aircraft. Airbus deliveries and orders through August support the planemaker in the commercial aviation market.
Airlines tracking Airbus aircraft deliveries in 2026 will focus on A330 recovery and Airbus A320 family output to judge whether the 870 Airbus production target is reached by year-end.
