For twelve days, I had the chance to, finally, explore Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has direct flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL-WMKK) to Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED-OEMA), using MAS was most convenient for me. For this route, MAS operates one of the most successful widebody airliners, the Airbus A330-300. The flight on this route consumes eight and a half hours, therefore, I booked a business class seat to feel comfortable during this long-haul flight.

Before I made my way to my boarding gate, I made a stop at Malaysia Airlines “Golden Lounge – Satellite”, which was not far from my

flight boarding gate. The staff at the lounge were really friendly and helpful. Even though my flight was scheduled to take-off at 10:00 a.m., but I was at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 6:00 a.m. I was worried of long queues here or there, therefore I went four hours perior my flight.

Since I was that early, the lounge was the best place to grab a cup of coffee and have breakfast.

The lounge has a large view of the tarmac, it was heaven to a flight enthusiast like me.

The breakfast choices was limited to Malaysia’s No. 1 delicacy, Nasi Lemak. For those who have never been to Malaysia, nasi lemak is a rice cooked with coconut milk and a spicy salsa called sambal. It’s eaten with hard boiled egg and cucumber. There were very few other lite choices for those who are not into nasi lemak.
